VRAC is an interdisciplinary research center focusing on the rapidly expanding interface between computers and humans.
Research Projects include Snowplow and Combine Simulators, Virtual Teleoperation and Modeling 3D Geologic Structures.
Chris Clover, Jim Gruenning and Kurt Hoffmeister were ISU graduate students in Mechanical Engineering in the mid-1990’s. ~ In 1996, they founded Mechdyne Incorporated, based in Marshalltown, Iowa. ~ Mechdyne recently merged with Fakespace Systems, its most important competitor.
