General Motors Corp., the world’s largest automaker, has been the global industry sales leader since 1931. They have overcome many challenges to create several fuel cell vehicles, like the Sequel, that demonstrate how fuel cells work. One of the big challenges is hydrogen storage.
There have alredy been many milestones on our way to a hydrogen economy.
GM will develop a hydrogen-fuel-cell vehicle that could compete on cost with traditional vehicles-if it were to be built in high volumes-by 2010 (assuming cars aren’t running on cold fusion by then).
I think I’m ready for the next breed of fuel. I wonder if we say “please” the oil companies will stop buying the patents on alternatively fueled vehicles.
Perhaps not.
