Paris Air Show 2007

787 Dreamliner

The 47th Paris air show which opens on Monday is the world’s largest. Here are some details about the event.

The Paris Air Show and the Farnborough Air Show in London alternate each year as the aviation industry’s main event. This year, it’s Paris.

Plagued by problems and delays, the A350 widebody is trailing its more fuel-efficient rival, Boeing’s Dreamliner.

Boeing has a commanding lead in the market segment with 629 firm sales for its 787 from 45 airlines and leasing companies. But Airbus is expected to narrow that gap and has commitments for 167 of its redesigned A350XWB.
