A synonym is a word that means the same as another. An antonym is a word that means the opposite of another. ~ The word contronym is used to refer to words that, by some freak of language evolution, are their own antonyms.

I like to think of a synonym as “a word that is similar in meaning to the one that you can’t spell”.

Situated on the shores of the mighty Raccoon River, Principal Park is a very pretty, functional ballpark. When it was built in 1992, it was acclaimed by many baseball aficionados as being one of the most attractive parks in the minors.

Sunny, 72 degrees. Good day to take in an Iowa Cubs game at Noon. We were standing in the ticket line when someone gave us free grandstand tickets. After trading them for seats at the front of Field Box X, we got hot dogs and something to drink. What a great day to be at the ballpark.

Do you deserve your high school diploma?

I did fairly well on the quiz, but I’m not sure which questions I missed – and I had to look up autodidact.

Update: Ok. I looked back at the quiz, and I’m not sure that there is a right answer listed for the religion question. Also, I’m embarrassed to say that I missed the Magna Carta (what was I thinking) question.
