The animations have been made using various techniques: a combination of traditional drawn animations and computer-generated animations. The biggest task was to bring those two together, and try as far as possible to emulate the drawings in Leonardo’s sketchbooks.

C+- (pronounced ‘C More or Less‘) is a subject-orientated language. This is not subject as in “subject-verb”, but as in “a government and its subjects”. Each C+- class instance, known as a subject, holds hidden members, agendas or undeclared preferences, which are impervious to outside messages, as well as public members, known as boasts or claims.

C+- supports information hiding and, among friend classes only, rumour sharing. It implements information hiding so successfully that data may never be found again.

Mention the word “art” to a roomful of people and most of them will think of a great painting. Some will think of sculpture or architecture – a few, of music or literature.

But hardly anyone will think of industry.

It’s important to note, or set up ahead of time, that many of Harley Earl’s detractors tried to dethrone the sheer magnitude and success of his innovative tail fin design that swept through an entire nation of car buyers during the 1950s.

Harley Earl is the father of the Corvette. The Corvette was his idea pure and simple.

GM’s success with Earl’s cars had less to do with design, however, than style. The difference is important. Harley Earl was not interested in function; he was interested in meaning.

The product has been conceived for an art project in Ypenburg (a newly build neighbourhood in the Netherlands). Eight products will be placed in front of eight houses. The goal of the project is to stimulate an interaction between neighbours, while pumping up the tyres of their bicycles.
