Had a bit of free time last night, so I edited together some of my best moves. Hope you like it.
Month: June 2006
Make Me Watch TV
Make Me Watch TV is a site where you get to force me, Aric McKeown, to watch whatever TV show you please.
Not only that, but you can watch me watch TV! That’s right, watch me via webcam as I watch the chosen program and blog my thoughts on it live.
Cello
This is a pretty amazing video of Ethan Winer playing 37 separate cello parts to create one song. He even plays the percussion parts on his cello.
Solar System
The Solar System is made up of the Sun, the planets, and their moons.
Don’t forget about Meteors, Asteroids, and other Near Earth Objects.
The Sun contains more than 99.8% of the total mass of the Solar System (Jupiter contains most of the rest).
The several-days-long flight of the various Apollo missions [to the moon] in the ’60s and ’70’s would not even get them to two-thirds of the Sun’s radius,
All nine planets can be seen with a small telescope; all but Pluto can be seen with binoculars.
MowZilla
MowZilla is our newest creation. It is the Original Nitrous powered push lawn mower!
Monkey Chow Diaries
On June 3, 2006, I began my week of eating nothing but monkey chow: “a complete and balanced diet for the nutrition of primates, including the great apes.”
Only 1 day left. It looks like he’s going to make it.
Jump
Fast JCB
JCB is aiming to set a new land speed record for diesel vehicles with a super sleek streamliner car to be driven by Wing Commander Andy Green, the fastest man on Earth. The record attempt will take place on the famous Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah during August 2006.
Put away any thoughts you have about heavy-duty Cummins-powered pickup trucks, powerful but not particularly sporting, and replace them with a long, lean rocket-like fuselage with wheels capable of topping 300 mph.
So what’s Caterpillar doing? Cat’s been racing Cars and Trucks since the 1990’s. Since Funny Cars get over 300 MPH in just a quarter mile, maybe they should build a Cat Diesel Powered funny car. I’ve got a feeling this would be harder than it sounds.
Chet Atkins CE
Chet Atkins became the world’s most influential guitarist on the strength of his impeccable thumb-and-finger picking guitar style, but he is equally important and influential for his guitar designs.
Hascal “Hack” Haile (1906-86) of Tompkinsville, Kentucky, didn’t begin making classical guitars until after he retired from the furniture business. His most famous client was Chet Atkins, and it was Haile who made Atkins’ prototype for the solidbody classical model (with piezo pickup) that Gibson introduced as the Chet Atkins CE model in 1981.

Drivers Test
Licensed drivers were administered 20 questions found on a typical DMV written drivers test. The 2006 findings indicate drivers still do not have adequate knowledge of basic rules of the road.
Oregon drivers ranked highest on the test ~ and Rhode Island ranked lowest.
Iowa is 9th (we used to be 3rd).
